Foster Parent Training

Layne Hedden March 31, 2022

Tonight we completed another series of our preservice training that is required to become a licensed foster parent. Each series of training consists of 12 modules covering a range of topics such as Child Development, Childhood Trauma, Understanding Primary Families, CPR/First Aid, and more.

Although we had a smaller class this time around, here at MCJFS, we know that it only takes one caring person to make a difference in the lives of many vulnerable youth. Imagine how many lives this dedicated group of foster parents have the potential to impact!

We still need foster parents - especially for our older kids (age 10+). For information on how to become a licensed foster parent, fill out the Inquiry Form on our Foster and Adopt page or call Layne at (330) 635-9165.
