All OWF adults and minor heads of household are now required to participate in activities which prepare them for self-sufficiency. Individuals on OWF must participate in a work activity. As a condition of receiving your cash benefits, you will be required to sign a self-sufficiency contract. The agreement you sign is your commitment to complete hours in a work activity each week until you become self sufficient.

If you fail to participate and complete the mandatory weekly hours of a work activity required by the State of Ohio, your OWF check will be stopped and sanctions applied.
